All fitness classes are free for Y members and are available for non-members with a punch card.  Class days and times vary so call the YMCA for a class schedule.  The YMCA reserves the right to cancel classes due to lack of attendance.

Cardio Dance

We provide the dance floor, you set it on fire! A combination of low and high impact aerobics is performed in a dynamic dance style. If you enjoy dancing and being motivated, this class is for you! 

Cardio Sculpt

Get a total body workout in 45 minutes. You will work all your major muscles, plus some cardio thrown into the mix. Did you know that for every pound of muscle you gain, your body burns an extra 35 calories a day at rest? So if you replace 10 pounds of fat with 10 pounds of muscle, you’ll burn an extra 350 calories per day, without doing any additional workouts. You’ll burn more fat post workout than those who just do cardio.

Parkinson Group

St. Rita’s Medical Center Parkinson’s group is available at the Putnam County YMCA.  Anyone with Parkinson’s disease who is facing difficulty with movement, swallowing, speech, performing daily activities and other issues benefits from this program.  The group will meet on Wednesdays from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the program center May through Thanksgiving. 

Enhance Fitness

Enhance Fitness is geared toward   older adults of all fitness levels. If you have a chronic condition, such as   arthritis, you may be able to gain more strength and independence. You will feel energized-physically, mentally and socially– and be    surrounded by peoples who care about your success.

Pietra Fitness

A fitness class that stretches, strengthens and tones that body while refreshing the soul with prayer. In only one hour you feel clamer, stronger, refreshed and renewed!


ActivTrax is a web- based program that creates customized workouts around your strengths, experience and goals. Each time you complete a workout, ActivTrax will create a new workout for you. It helps eliminate intimidation, confusion and boredom. After you have been activated in the system, you simply show up, print your workout, follow the instructions and the system guides you towards your fitness goals. Also available on ActivTrax is the Nutrition Tool. Experts suggest that proper nutrition can account for as much as 80% of the battle in losing extra pounds and maintaining a healthy weight. ActivTrax helps you plan and track what you eat to ensure you keep within your ideal caloric range.
