Aquatic Classes


Arthritis Aquatics

This class consists of exercises that work all of your joint and muscle groups.  Exercising in the water promotes optimum joint flexibility, muscle strength, endurance, coordination and balance.

Water Aerobics

Boost your energy and increase your strength and flexibility in this class by both a cardiovascular workout and resistance training using hand bells, noodles and other water aerobics equipment.

Deep Water Aerobics

An intense workout designed for people who really want to get their heart rate moving by providing a challenge.  All members must be comfortable in deep water with support and willing to break a sweat.

Swim Basics

1: Water Acclimation– Increase comfort with underwater exploration and introduces basic self-rescue skills preformed with assistance.

2: Water Movement-Encourages forward movement in water and basic self-rescue skills performed independently.

3: Water Stamina– Develops intermediate self-rescue skills performed at longer distance than in   previous stages.

Swim Strokes

4: Stroke Introduction– Introduces basic stroke technique in front crawl and back crawl and reinforces water safety through treading water and elementary backstroke.

5. Stroke Development- Introduces backstroke and butterfly and reinforces water safety through treading water and sidestroke.

6. Stroke Mechanics- Refines stroke technique on all major competitive strokes and encourages swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle.
